Meet Dallas Wingate
Candidate for 20th District Representative
I am a seasoned combat Veteran (the First Gulf War), and a retired U.S. Army Colonel. After an honorable 37-year career in the Delaware Army National Guard, and 23 years as a federal employee with the Department of Defense, I retired in 2016. Having served my nation and state for my entire career, I have the experience necessary to keep a clear head and calm tone during emergencies and crises, which is much needed during this time of heightened political divide and vitriol. My past career experiences have strengthened my personal values of selfless service, integrity, and civility. Those exact values that seem sorely missing in today’s politics, and are why, in an effort to bring back civility and distinction to the role of public service, I have stepped forward with my candidacy for Representative of the 20th District.
Having lived in lower Delaware the majority of my life, I consider myself a son of Sussex County. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Safety with a concentration in Homeland Security, and a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Wilmington University. In both academic disciplines, I have earned membership to the National Honor Society.
Becky, my incredible wife of 30 years, and I currently reside between Lewes and Milton, in the Red Mill Pond area.
